Improving one of God's prettiest creations
I am talking about Rainbow Roses.
Yes, they are real!
Rainbow roses are made when people inject the stems with dyes that go up into the petals. Creating one of the most beautiful flowers you will ever see. I was wanting to find a link to show you where to buy them, but currently they are a Japanese thing right now.
I love them.

you can get the same effect by putting them in glassess of water with food colouring in, well not the same effect that is rather prettier.
in elementary school, we used to turn white carnations all sorts of colors by putting the stems in food coloring. but that is so much prettier.
Wow! That's so cool...hmmm I wanna try the food coloring now. lol
I am going to try the food coloring thing. Cool!
I'm dissapointed Rose isn't your real name. Your plug reminded me of my best friend who happens to be named Rose. Her temperment, too.
Ohhh, those are really pretty. I've never seen flowers dyed more than one color before.
The roses you are referring to are called Chromuim Rainbow roses because they are injected with a chromium element that amkes the roses a rainbow color. You can buy them here in the statesm but mostly just online like at justflowers.com or fiestaroses.com. They are hard to find, but so pretty indeed.
I love rainbow roses. One of my friends bought me some in England, but I don't know the name of the place she got them from.
purdy!
Cool.
wow! i've never seen those; they're beautiful!
Too creepy!
Creepy is not a reaction i expected
It is a beautiful effect but this is tampering with nature. The argument is it's not natural, would we do that with animals as well?
I love these! And I don't think it's a bad thing to do this - it's not like they're creating a whole new species of rose, they're just doing it after they've been picked. So why not get a little creative if you can? Gorgeous.... :)
@Parsimony - Actually, I did once dye my poodle blue.
ooooo thats awesome..... yes, I'm still staring at them
